Tom Norris recievied the City of Phoenix Self Certification #0029

On April 28, 2010 the City of Phoenix issued 35 Architects & Engineers Self-Certification, What does this mean? The City of Phoenix Self Certification eliminates building plan reviews by allowing a registered architect to take responsibility for code compliance and certify that the project complies with the Phoenix Building Construction Code. Depending on the scope of the project, permits can be issued within one to five calendar days.

Since 1998 Tom Norris has been promoting and providing energy efficient designs for new homes, remodels, additions, casitas and commercial projects thru out the U.S.  Norris Architects   presently has two homes in the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification process.

 The life, of a youngster who grew up on a Missouri farm, allowed Tom to learn to see the simple in the complex. This ability has allowed him to find solutions to building challenges where others are stymied and, that farm work ethic has kept him moving forward through the toughest building projects. 

In 1997 it was time for Tom to refocus his energy into creating his own building company that specialized in construction of only custom homes. From that time forward Tom has built his reputation on providing the home the client has visualized.  

 

 

Tom Norris' personal commitment to building quality, energy efficient, environmentally friendly homes is exemplified by the fact he is a qualified builder in Scottsdale's "Green Building Program".
